This year’s summer holiday went by awfully fast, but I did get to enjoy Valencia and Helsinki for two whole weeks. Valencia was a very positive suprise – very easy, yet interesting destination for a traveller. You could find a lot of places with less tourists and even for seven days there are plenty of things to do. The beach was long and clean, and food amazing.
If you want to enjoy some watersports, for example paddle surfing (SUP), I higly recommend Ocean Republik . Book a private lesson there to learn the basics (recommended!), or just rent the boards. Very good service and they speak English!
My favourite things to do in Valencia:
- Visiting the silk trade and the market hall
- Drinking lots of Horchata (Tigernut Milk) and sangria
- Paddle surfing in the waves <3
- Renting a bike and ride through Jardines del Turia under the palm trees
- One word: Paella.
Valencia is definitely worth a visit!
